Tatiana is a passionate and dedicated advisor, educator, and writer with over 18 years of experience working with students. She holds a dual BA from Stanford University in Philosophy and Comparative Religious Studies and an Interdisciplinary MA from New York University in Comparative Philosophy and Creative Nonfiction. Tatiana has taught courses at New York University and the City University of New York and has guest lectured at many other institutions including Stanford University, the University of the Pacific, and Skidmore College. She transitioned her career into academic advisement in 2012. Over the last decade, she has had the privilege of working with families and helping students attain their educational goals and dreams. Aside from her academic work, Tatiana is an accomplished writer. As the author of two books, numerous poems, essays, and articles, Tatiana loves working through the writing process with her students. She holds various awards for her writing, including the prestigious Pushcart Prize in Poetry.

In addition to her educational and writing work, Tatiana is passionate about wellness and mental health. To the Scholar Co. team, Tatiana brings over a decade of work as a dedicated advocate for teen mental health and wellbeing. Tatiana works collaboratively with students to find, hone, and amplify their strengths and passions. She believes that the application journey can be a joyful, exciting experience and an opportunity for self-exploration, and aims to make it as stress-free as possible for the students and families with whom she works.
