OUR APPROACH
Scholar Co.'s college advising program is individualized and multi-faceted, directed at every element of the college admissions process and tailored to each individual student based upon their specific needs and preferences. Throughout the college planning and application process, our students receive assistance with course and test planning, narrative development, and school selection and engagement.
The role of the college advisor is to successfully guide and support their students in preparing for the admissions process; selecting colleges that are the right fit academically, extracurricularly, and socially; and navigating applications confidently and successfully. An effective college advisor is able to help each of their students find a school that meets their needs and preferences while also lending to the development of fundamental organizational, planning, writing, and self-advocacy skills.
At Scholar Co., we excel at helping students understand, develop, and highlight their individual strengths, providing wrap-around support at all stages to empower them to define and meet their individual goals.

We understand that not every student needs the same level of support. Our scale-to-fit approach means we adjust the scope of services based on each student’s evolving needs—whether that’s more project management, academic planning, essay guidance, or simply staying organized throughout the college application process
Universally Adaptable
We adapt the depth and intensity of our guidance to fit each student’s goals, strengths, and circumstances, from course load recommendations to summer planning and college list building.
Reflective
At Scholar Co., our goals are our students’ goals. Rather than pushing a fixed list of “top” schools, we calibrate our guidance to support each student’s individual aspirations, helping them pursue the best outcomes based on their unique goals.
Flexible
With the goal of meeting students where they are, advisors work with their students to develop a schedule that works best for them. During the busy fall of senior year, our proprietary hybrid synchronous/asynchronous model balances personalized support with independent responsibility and maximizes productivity and efficiency.
