Robyn Bowers has over fifteen years of experience working in college and university admissions. Most recently, Robyn served as the Dean of Admissions at Lawrence University where she led all aspects of first-year and transfer admissions. Robyn also spent seven years in the admissions office of Kenyon College, directing the travel, evaluation, and selection programs. Throughout her admissions career, she has worked with students from all over the country to guide them through the college application and decision-making process. Robyn has been a frequent invited speaker at secondary school programs on selective college admissions, liberal arts education, and the role of the essay in college admissions. She believes the college admissions process can be an opportunity for students to develop an authentic voice, cultivate self-management and advocacy skills, and define core values.

Prior to her career in college admissions, Robyn developed advising and support programs for first-year students at Western Michigan University. She implemented a first-year seminar curriculum focused on time management, study skills, and self-advocacy and advised students on course selection and success. Robyn graduated summa cum laude in English Literature and Latin from Denison University, where she also was a member of the basketball team and served as editor of the literary journal. Robyn also holds an MA in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. She approaches her work with compassion, mindfulness, and a sense of humor.
