Quinn has mentored students for more than a decade as a tutor, advisor, college professor, and most recently as an admissions consultant. She earned her Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of Virginia, where she taught poetry, advised seniors on their creative writing theses, and tutored across all disciplines in the writing center. In 2018, she returned to teach at her undergraduate alma mater, Ursinus College, from which she graduated summa cum laude with Honors in English. As a faculty member, she taught courses ranging from first-year composition to the creative writing senior capstone. She also worked closely with the Admissions Office evaluating freshman applications for Ursinus’ creative writing award. (Quinn herself had been the recipient of this award, which allowed her to fulfill her dream of living in JD Salinger’s dorm room her freshman year.) Wanting to do more one-on-one work with students, Quinn became a college admissions consultant and essay coach at College Essay Guy in 2021 before joining the Scholar Co team. As an advisor, Quinn is dedicated to creating a collaborative and productive experience for each student, allowing space for reflection, risk-taking, and self-expression.
