Nancy Knechel brings a unique blend of academic excellence and real-world clinical experience to her work as an admissions advisor, with a particular focus on healthcare and science pathways. She earned her nursing PhD from Yale University and her Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and has had a 20-year career as a board-certified nurse practitioner.

In addition to her extensive clinical work at leading medical centers and as the owner of a private medical practice, Nancy has also served as a university professor and participated in the admissions review process. She most enjoyed mentoring and advising students, and this passion naturally evolved into helping students navigate the increasingly complex pathways into healthcare careers.

Nancy specializes in working with students interested in nursing, pre-med, and other health science fields, offering guidance not only on admissions strategy, but also on choosing the right path. Her background in academic research, publications, and funded scholarship further informs her ability to help students position themselves thoughtfully and effectively.
