Kenny Reyes is an independent college access consultant dedicated to guiding students and families through the complex college admissions process with empathy, strategy, and a deep commitment to educational opportunity.

A proud first-generation graduate, Kenny’s passion for college access was inspired by his mother’s journey from the Puerto Rican countryside to secure a better education for her children. Kenny attended Dartmouth College, where he championed efforts to diversify the student body, and later earned his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. His commitment to educational equity led him to volunteer with nonprofits supporting underserved students, and later to a pivotal role at a high school where he established and ran the guidance department. Under his leadership, the school’s first-ever graduating class achieved college outcomes that outperformed every other high school in the city.

Kenny’s diverse background spans from Capitol Hill, where he deepened his understanding of policy and advocacy, to Hollywood, where he honed his storytelling skills—an asset he now uses as a Powered by Scholar Co. consultant, helping students craft compelling college applications. As a member of the Powered by Scholar Co. team, Kenny blends his background in education, finance, and storytelling to support a wide range of students—including those in underserved communities and those navigating competitive college admissions—empowering each family to approach the process with confidence and clarity.
