Chloee is a graduate of UC Berkeley, where she studied Political Economy and Rhetoric and graduated with high honors. As an application support and essay specialist with Scholar Co., she brings a long history of mentoring young writers and helping people to tell their stories. At Berkeley, she was an editor for the college newspaper, where she helped student journalists hone their writing and reporting skills. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant and Residential Counselor for the Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies program. There, she assisted with classes on political science, tutored students in their coursework and mentored high schoolers as they began their college search.
She's continued her work with writing, editing and storytelling at NPR, where she's reported and produced print and audio stories. She has also worked for This American Life and The History Channel.
Chloee grew up in the Bay Area and attended Crystal Springs Uplands School, which gives her unique insight into the region's academic culture and the related experiences of its young people. She enjoys using her background in mentorship, education and storytelling to help applicants strategize their personal narratives, sharpen their writing and put their best selves forward.
